Let Go and Let God by Delina Hill-Brooker

Let Go and Let God

Letting go and letting God is not as easy as it sounds. Well at least not for me any way. I know and agree that when situations arise, that is the only thing that you can do, but still, I mean seriously, I hope I’m not the only one who feels this way.

Think about it, there’s a problem, a situation, an issue that you want handled, resolved and fixed. Your hands are all over it, your mind is wrapped around it, and your spirit is consumed with it. Even with all of your being, being involved, still nothing happens, it may even get worse. Let go, let God. Seems simple enough right? It’s just two steps. Letting go then letting God, but if you’re anything like me, you may let go with one hand, and hold on with the other. Or maybe you let go with both hands, but are still watching, and anxiously watching for things to not go the way that you want them to so you’ll know when to reach back in and grab hold of whatever it is that you were supposed to be letting go of in the first place.

Is it a control issue? Is it a trust issue? Is it a human in the flesh issue? It’s probably all of the above and some!

Have you noticed that when you finally do surrender and let go, I mean really let go and let God that it’s handled perfectly. And any imperfection in it is only from our own doing. After we truly surrender and He handles it, we add it to our list of resolved things and start to remember how He has handled other things for us.

Will it ever be that easy to follow the two steps? Let go, let God.

Philippians 4:6 Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known to God.
